I am one of the amazing animal ambassadors for Ocean Connections! When I was just four months old, I was found clinging to a pipe in a storm sewer struggling to survive. My mom had abandoned me, I was starving, and very thirsty. Thankfully, a lifeguard saw me and called a rescue team to save me. Being so young, though, I didn't know how to hunt so the government deemed I was unable to be released back into the wild. That was when Ocean Connections was called and asked to provide me with a forever home. They gladly accepted and now I am living my best life! I am one of over several thousand sea lions that have stranded off the coast of California but not every animal's story ends on such a happy note. Scientists believe that pollution, overfishing, and rising sea temperatures are part of the reason that many marine animals are having trouble surviving. Ocean Connections has partnered with Rollee Pollee to release a line of conservation critters called Rollee Rescues! These patented all-in-one blanket and pillow duos roll up small enough to easily fit in a backpack or school cubby and attach to most mats or cots. Each Rollee Rescue features an adorable endangered species. A portion of the proceeds from each Rollee Rescue directly contributes to the conservation education, rescue, research, and welfare efforts of Ocean Connections:
